Charts Recap: October 14th - 20st, 2019

We’ve tallied another week’s sales and our customers continue to prove their great taste in our weekly charts. Still another new record is in the number one spot this week with Somebody's Knocking from the Mark Lanegan Band debuting on top. Mark has arguably had the strongest creative longevity of the grunge generation and his winning streak continues with a minor reinvention on this one. Somebody's Knocking leans into a synth heavy post-punk influence to great effect. Give a listen.

Also crashing the charts this week is the Halloween-seasonally appropriate There Existed an Addiction to Blood, the vampire/horror inspired new project from Clipping. The reputable Stereogum music blog went so far to name it their record of the week, digging deep into the album in a recent review.

Also cracking our top-ten is long time store favorites Floating Points with their latest full length Crush. Expect stylish and unpredictable minimalist beats and a heavy dose of synthesizer experimentation, making for quite a head trip. Highly recommended stuff.
