A new weekly top-ten best-sellers list is up at Sonic Boom with a now familiar record back at the top. HARRY STYLES is once again number one after a few weeks away. Harry’s House looks to be the hit LP of the summer across the globe as well as here in Ballard. And the sound is perfectly tuned summertime pop, as such this one will probably be sticking around our charts for quite a while more.
Our number two record is a hot record debuting for the summer too. TYLER THE CREATOR has a new one in the shop as of this week titled Call Me If You Get Lost. This is the sixth by the LA rapper, and finds Tyler revisiting some of the rawer pure rap sounds of his early career with the complexity and richness he’s developed on subsequent records.
In other exciting new release news this week, we’ve got SOCCER MOMMY’s latest making an appearance at number four in our charts. Sometimes, Forever is the new one and finds the S.M. sound maturing in new ways. This one is produced by Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never, and explores a slightly darker side of Sophie Allison’s songwriting.
