It’s a new week with a new Sonic Boom top-ten best-sellers chart! We’ve got a new top seller too with the latest record from BIG THIEF stealing the number one spot from Mitski. Some are calling the sprawling and ambitious Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You the band’s masterpiece. (Check out some reviews here and here) It’s real good, let’s see how long this double LP holds on to the top-spot!

We’ve also got some locals making a big chart splash with the endlessly funky DELVON LAMARR ORGAN TRIO scoring a number three chart placement with their latest Cold As Weiss. The lineup may have shifted on the new recording, with the record title referencing the newly arrived drummer, but their winning formula of tightly played soulful instrumentals is intact. One of Seattle’s treasures!

Also, SPOON is back! The indie rockers have over twenty years and ten records under their belt but can still turn in a rocker, as they have with Lucifer On The Couch, our number four record this week. In fact the latest offering might also be their loudest, with the band really letting loose on this one. However Britt Daniel’s songwriting keeps the quintessential Spoon sound. Check it out.
