December is finally here and we’ve got up our first weekly top-ten best-sellers chart of the holiday season! The number-one record at Sonic Boom is unchanged from last week, it is the Live at KEXP Volume 10 LP. Way back in the early 21st century the Live at KEXP CDs were a gift-buyer’s mainstay during the holidays, a year end compendium of great sounds that helped support a local music institution! Well it’s back for the vinyl era and the tracklist rules.

WEYES BLOOD has also been hanging tough in our charts with And In The Darkness Hearts Aglow at number three. This was the only ‘regular’ record that managed to chart during our RSD blitz last week, though to be fair there’s nothing regular about this one. It may be the strongest record yet from an artist with a few winners already out.

Also, look at all these Christmas records in our charts!! We’ve got the expected Charlie Brown Christmas, but also seasonal records from FRANK SINATRA and LOUIS ARMSTRONG. It can’t be a coincidence both of these were recommended in our recent Christmas Record Gift Guide!! Plenty of classic Christmas tunes in-stock, but don’t snooze as we’re usually pretty depleted by the holiday itself.
