Charts Recap for January 24th - 30th, 2022

Our weekly top-ten best-sellers chart is up! We have one nineties classic displacing another at the very top of our chart this week. NIRVANA is back at number-one with the 30th Anniversary edition reissue of Nevermind displacing Radiohead’s OK Computer this week. This was highly in-demand on release and sold-out everywhere practically on pre-order. Well now we’ve got enough of this defining Seattle record to last for a good while. Come by for a copy!

The only new-release this week to chart was Inside by comedian BO BURNHAM. These are the musical offerings culled from his recent comedy special of the same name. Though often funny and topical, this record doesn’t play like the usual ‘comedy songs’ type album. Think goofy and relatable synth pop and you’re on the right track.

And finally, this week brought another of those occasional reminders that streaming is temporary and physical media is forever. Legendary rocker NEIL YOUNG pulled his entire catalog from Spotify this past week, but rest assured music lovers, our Neil Young section is always full of durable, long-lasting, irrevocable, vinyl records. (and CDs sometimes too) Perhaps as a result, Decade, the essential retrospective of Neil’s first ten years, scored a number ten placement with a few other of his records nearly charting as well.
