Charts Recap for October 25th - 31st, 2021

We’ve got another week in the books and an new top-ten best-seller chart up! There’s a new number-one record at Sonic Boom too! We thought the Northwest was all for decriminalization, but it looks like you all are big fans of THE WAR ON DRUGS! Their latest LP I Don’t Live Here Anymore has run away with the top spot this week. The Philly rockers have built a reputation as studio wizards, and the latest record is no let down. Quite possibly still getting better.

Also, despite arriving a little late at the shop, the brand new self-titled record from MY MORNING JACKET managed to make a splash in the charts this week at number four. So far the band’s first record in years has been lining up favorable reviews. Perhaps leaning a little more into their live sound, this record has some old school rave ups alongside subtle studio work.

And we’ve got a rare chart entry from our heavy-metal department with the latest record from MASTODON sneaking in to the charts in the ten spot. Hushed And Grim shows a band still breaking ground after nearly two decades. The sprawling new record finds the group exploring themes of death and grief while flexing their full sonic range. Heavy indeed.
