We’ve got our first top-seller charts of 2020 up! Though our first number one was definitely one of last year’s defining records. Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is back in the top spot after a long absence. We saw this in a BUNCH of year-end lists. One of the more unique aesthetics and perspectives to pop up in pop music in a while. Maybe one of those records that ushers in a new era. Time will tell!

In other chart action, the remainder of our top five consists of many of 2019’s usual suspects. But at number 6 we have Andy Stott crashing the party. The UK producers’s latest is It Should Be Us and is excellent. It’s another record of stunningly deconstructed techno music. For those seeking an experimental edge to dance music and something that cuts against the currents of the mainstream of the genre’s tendencies would be well served to give a listen.

We’re also thrilled to see a reissue of the lone solo record from the late great Mark Hollis crack the top ten at number 9. This record is a long time shop favorite and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all who enjoyed his latter day work with Talk Talk. Mystical stuff, originally released in the mid 90s, its a rare confluence of ambient, folk, jazz, and rock.
