Charts Recap: April 15th - 21st, 2019

We’ve got another week of RSD leftovers reigning in our vinyl charts! (congrats Elton!) But these are selling out right and left, lets not dwell on what can’t be had, cheers to all who landed a sold-out LP. But there is plenty of action elsewhere in our charts! First of major thanks to Warren Dunes (the new Julia Massey band) who graced our stage this past week and landed their new CD at number one on the CD charts! Also, they’re doing this band for a cause, so be sure to support. And listen!

We haven’t had a chance to shine a light on the new Budos Band record yet either, number 3 this week. They are back to their old tricks. Long time store faves, V finds the group tight as ever, dialing back the psych-rock of Burnt Offering a little to make room for the grooves of their earlier records. We hope plenty of you all got to spent your 4/20 watching these guys at Neumos. Very appropriate.

Also, SUNN O))) is back! Life Metal finds the notoriously bleak drone outfit playing with some more spiritual vibes as the title might suggest. It’s still heavy and enveloping, but surely a tweak to the formula. Always excited to hear new sounds from these guys. Our only record this week to land in both the analog and digital charts.
