Charts Recap: March 25th - 31st, 2019

We’ve tabulated our top sellers for the last week of March, 2019! It’s finally Jenny Lewis’s week on our charts. After hanging around the upper echelons for a few, her new record On The Line now occupies the top slot on both charts. Vulture.com grants it the high praise of being “Her Best Work to Date”. This will likely be one of 2019’s big sellers around these parts.

Elsewhere we’ve got strong first weeks out from Billie Eilish and Orville Peck. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? from Billie finally arrived on vinyl this week after a long wait. The still-teenage pop-singer is at the precipice of stardom by walking the fine line between oddness and accessibility. If you aren’t familiar, The Fader has a great intro to the young artist.

Orville Peck on the other hand is literally a mysterious masked country singer of unknown age, as well as Sup Pop’s latest signing. Pony is a record pulling from that rich well of songwriting born from the perspective of the lonesome outsider. A fresh take on a vintage sound is always welcome around here.
