Charts Recap: February 18th - 24th, 2019

Another week at the Boom and another rearranging of our top-tens! We’ve got the new record from SUPER-DUO Better Oblivion Community Center as the uncontested number-one of both charts in it’s first week. It’s the new project from Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, check it out if you haven’t. Our charts this week are really all about Phoebe! She has not one, or two, but THREE records in our vinyl top-ten. Her music has been in our steady rotation since we got our first copy of Stranger in the Alps.

The vinyl buying public is surely not immune to Oscar-fever, and maybe that extra buzz pushed the Bohemian Rhapsody LP all the way back to #2 in the carts. In case you missed it, here’s most of Queen doing their best on the TV.

Our other strong debut this week belongs to The Claypool Lennon Delirium, another arguably super duo, and their newest record South Of Reality. The unlikely psych rock allies have a string of wild an woolly records under their belt now, the latest does not lag. Still trying to figure out if the title is a Slayer reference!
