Charts Recap: July 2nd - July 8th, 2018

Checkout the action on our charts for the holiday weekend! Looks like word is out that the lost Coltrane record is excellent. (We tried to tell you!) After a few weeks hovering in the middle of the charts it rocketed to number one on the vinyl charts and a respectable #4 in the CD list. Word of mouth, it's a thing!

We finally got a restock on the hot new LP from Khruangbin, which has been sold out at the source since almost the moment of it's release. If you haven't heard them yet we highly recommend their timeless mix of psych and soul. Surely plenty of you were already in waiting as it reappears at the #4 spot! (And just a reminder, we can always take your name and number when a record is sol-out to give you dibs on the next batch.)

Shout-out to Florence for back-to-back #1s on our CD chart. She'll be playing the Key Arena this September, in case you didn't already know.

Only locals representing this week are Mommy Long Legs holding on at #5, not bad at all!

Otherwise there's lots of legacy acts sneaking back into the charts. We've been seeing older records by  CCR, The Flaming Lips, The Who, Bowie, and GNR flying off the shelves! A slow release week and a holiday crowds always give the classics a chance to sneak back into our charts. Certain titles just have a spot in almost any collection.
