Charts Recap for April 4th - 10th, 2022
A new week means a new weekly top-ten best-seller chart is up at Sonic Boom! It’s been a good week for new releases at the shop with our top four all being released last Friday. That includes our new number-one record, the debut full-length from UK phenoms WET LEG. The self-titled LP has been one of the most hyped debuts we remember seeing in a bit! And the new duo deliver, the sound is catchy British style indie rock with a nice balance of feeling and humor. First batch of vinyl is already sold-out even! (give a call to check stock)
The number two record on our charts is also brand new, but from a long established artist. JACK WHITE is back with Fear Of The Dawn, his 4th solo LP. This one is a classic ‘Back To Basics’ type release, with Jack re-embracing the heavier rock sounds of his youth. Indeed this is as guitar heavy as he’s sounded on record since the White Stripes days.
And number three is still another new release, this one from ORVILLE PECK. Bronco is the title of the mysterious country troubadour’s major label debut. The mask is still on, but the sound has expanded, with the new record having much bigger production and ambitions. Could this be his true breakthrough to the country mainstream?
