Charts Recap for July 26th - August 1st, 2021
We’ve just got our last set of July best-sellers posted! Plenty of new arrivals filling up this week’s top-ten including our new weekly best seller. BILLIE EILISH is back with her new LP Happier Than Ever and it has scored a Sonic Boom #1! Her debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was a charts mainstay at our shop through much of the past year, and we expect this second record to keep it up.
Beyond Billie is a battle between a couple of our favorite contemporary soul singers with last week’s top-seller Leon Bridges at number two and a brand new LP from DURAND JONES & THE INDICATIONS pulling up at number three! Private Space is the outfit’s third full-length together and finds the group stretching out the territory they’re comfortable on. Its good time music, and we can use some good times.
Also, we’ve been experiencing some of that post-RSD serendipity as a few scarce titles have drifted back into the shop in limited quantities. This weeks number six record is one such example. Its CAT STEVENS very rare 1971 soundtrack to the film Harold & Maude! One of his best and least heard sessions. Swing by if you want to see what else is hanging around, these restocks are usually pretty transitory.
