Charts Recap for July 5th - 11th, 2021
We’ve got our latest weekly best-sellers posted for the first full week of July. The top slot is unchanged with TAYLOR SWIFT’s Evermore holding off a strong challenge from Faye Webster to keep her number-one spot. The 2020 record has spent plenty of time in our charts this year, especially since the vinyl edition showed up. Its starting to seem that this swift seller may evermore be our number-one.
The hottest new reissue of the week is White People by HANDSOME BOY MODELING SCHOOL coming in at number six. The turn-of-the-century project was the collaboration between super-producers Dan The Automator and Prince Paul. This was their all-star guest heavy second full-length from 2004. Remains a very fun listen and a great time-capsule of the mid-aughts underground.
We’ve also got a new archival release from KING GIZZARD AND THE LIZARD WIZARD making some noise in the charts. Teenage Gizzard, a set of unheard sessions from 2010/2011, scored a number nine placement this week. This appropriately titled record catches the psych rockers in their raw and wild early days. Expect reverbed out ragers throughout.
