2021 is here and so is our first weekly top-seller chart for the year! The Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack featuring music from Japanese group SEATBELTS is our number one record again after falling to the number two spot last week. Unfortunately this will likely be this record’s last hurrah at number-one as this one is almost sold-out and already out-of-print. Congrats to all who scored a copy of this instant-collectible.

This week also sees the resurgence of THE WAR ON DRUGS’ excellent live record Live Drugs pulling in at a strong number two. This is the sort of record to cement a band’s status of ‘generationally good live band’. This release will have to hold us over for the duration of this year though, the band IS in the studio, but latest word is no new release until 2022.

We also have JAMES BLAKE back up in our charts for the first time in a while with the new EP Before. Number nine is a good spot to start the year. This new EP finds the introspective modern crooner easing back into the realms of dance music for the first time since the early singles that exposed the artist to the world. Check it out.
