Well we’ve got new best-sellers up after a weird week in Western Washington. No brand-new records in our charts this time, but a significant shuffle since our last top-ten. Tame Impala has Slow Rush back in the top slot after a few weeks out. Smooth sounds to soothe on this record, and one of our best-sellers of 2020 so far. Here’s a recent live-on-TV vid for those that have already started wearing this one out.

Caribou has also secured their highest placement for Suddenly in our charts since it’s release. It is our number two record this week. Dan Snaith’s first record as Caribou in over five years is as sharp and sonically sophisticated as ever. Suddenly is an exceptionally focused record, with his songwriting maybe more tightly dialed in than ever before.

We’ve also got a few recent STAFF PICKS in the back half of our top-ten with the Makaya McCraven’s reimagining of the final Gil Scott-Heron record and Bonny Light Horsemen. Unfamiliar with our staff picks page? We keep track of all the great new-releases that stand out for us and pass on a little info about them. Might be a nice resource if by chance you’ve recently found yourself in a isolated / socially-distanced situation with some extra time to fill.
